Our next season will be the "Winter Basketball 2024-2025 Season". 

WINTER 2024/2025 BASKETBALL – Boys & Girls Divisions
Season Summary: Practices will start the first weekend in November, games will start the first weekend in December and the season concludes with a tournament in mid-February. The majority of our teams will play in divisions that play only Brentwood vs Brentwood teams.

Minimum roster per team = 8 players

Note: From 08/30 to 09/02, we may or may not respond to your email due to the amount of emails we may be receiving.



 
What the Registration Fees include
·       Practice space
·       8 scheduled league games
·       End of season tournament*
·       Game day support – gym supervisor, referees, scoreboard operator
·       Player shirt
·       Head coach shirt

*In lieu of a tournament, the Pre-K and Kindergarten teams will receive a participation trophy at their 8th and final scheduled game.

When paying for the registration, a (credit card) Processing Fee is what the credit card company charges to process your payment. A $3.00 Service Fee is charged by our webhost for every transaction that occurs. If you are registering more than one player, you can register them together and avoid paying the fee for every player. This fee is not refundable.

Teams are required to provide an adult to keep the scorebook. This applies for the home team of each game at a Brentwood gym.



 
Key Dates to be aware of
·       Registration to open at 10:00AM on Aug 30 (need to register the first day). We do not hold player spots.
·       Last day for a refund is Sept 20.
·       
Practice schedules will be set by Oct 10.
·       
Team rosters will be set by Oct 15.
·       
Practices will start Nov 2.
·       
Games will start Dec 7.
·       End of season tournaments will start Feb 9.


 
How Registration Occurs
·       Parents log into their account and register their individual player. To the right of their player’s name, they click Programs Available. In that process, we will collect information about the player to include coach request, teammate request, school, grade, neighborhood, shirt size and player skill info.
·       Parents in registering will be required to accept our medical waiver, our media waiver, our behavioral agreement and our registration refund policy.
·       Parents in registering will enter the grade of their player. If the incorrect grade is entered, once we determine that, the player will be removed without a refund.

Refunds

·       Last day to request a refund is 09/20/24.
·       The refund up to 09/20/24 for any reason will be the amount paid minus the $3 service fee minus a $20 processing fee.
·       After 09/20/24, we do not provide a refund. If a replacement player is available after the refund date, we may provide a partial refund.
It is not possible to manage a sports league without a refund approach.


Divisions

Coaches
·       Anyone desiring to be a head coach must create a volunteer record and then submit to a background check. Background checks are required every 3 years.
·       In the process of creating the volunteer record, we will capture from the coach their gym preferences for practice and their top three preferred weekly practice days.
·       We provide a team shirt to the head coach, so it is clear to the officials and workers as to who is the head coach.
·       Only one head coach and one assistant coach are allowed per team. No exceptions.
·       The head coach decides who will be their assistant coach. We will provide to head coaches who registered as an assistant coach.
·       Any person head coaching two teams in our league will not have game schedule conflicts. The games are likely though at different gyms. Most may also have back-to-back practices.


 
Where & When Practice Occurs
·       Our 60-minute practice times will occur at Crockett, Jordan, Lipscomb, Edmondson and Scales Elementary schools. And we will also use Brentwood Middle for some of our weekend practices.
·       Weekday practice times start between 6:00PM-6:15PM (after SAAC) at each school. Sunday practice starts at 1:00PM. And before games start, we will also schedule practice time using the first three Saturdays of November.
·       If practicing during the week, our youngest age divisions (1st grade & younger) will get the earliest start times with our oldest getting the later times. The only exception could be for a head coach with two teams that desire to have back-to-back.
·       Teams may practice any day of the week that is not a game day. Due to the number of players, we are not able to accept any day or date specific requests.
·       The schedule will be available in Team Central and the system will send reminders prior to each practice.


 
Where & When Games Are Played
·       Home games will occur at one of our Brentwood gyms: Brentwood Middle, Crockett Elementary, Jordan Elementary, Lipscomb Elementary, Edmondson Elementary, Scales Elementary and Williamson County Indoor Rec Center (920 Heritage Way). 
·       League Game Days will be typically scheduled on the Saturdays of Dec 7, 14; Jan 4, 11, 18, 25; Feb 1, 8 although we could schedule regular season games on Fridays or Sundays.
·       As games will last less than one hour, teams will typically have 5-10 minutes to warm up before a game.
·       The in-house tournament will start on Sunday Feb 9 and is likely to occur every day until the championships on or by Feb 15.  
·       For those divisions we do not have an in-house tournament (those with less than 4 teams in a rec division), they will participate in the county wide tournament.
·       We start tournament play for 1st grade and older. Those in Kindergarten or pre-school will not have a tournament.
·       The schedule will be available in Team Central and the system will send reminders prior to each game.


Scheduling Notes
·       The game schedule for all divisions, except 15/16YO Boys and the 9/10YO open division, will be set around mid-November. For those divisions noted, WCPR will set their schedule.
·       No activities for the season will occur during Thanksgiving Break and Christmas Break.
·       Due to the holiday break and games re-starting Jan 4, we will not provide practices in 2025 until after Jan 4.
·       Schools will have certain blackout dates during the season where their gym will be closed due to school activities.
·       When Williamson County schools are closed due to weather, practices are typically cancelled. 
·       In the event of weather that results in school closing, we will attempt to make those games up if possible. We will not refund as a result of cancellations.
